Dear community,

today I'd like to share with you some news regarding LRTimelapse and a special offer that you probably don't want to miss.

First, I'd like to thank you for being LRTimelapse users and say again, that I'm really grateful to be able to help you with my tools and ideas to make your work shine. That's truly amazing! LRTimelapse just has got 6 years old and a growing community of users. For me time lapse photography is an ongoing adventure that I really love sharing with you. On the occasion of this, I wrote a blog post about the beginnings of LRTimelapse and how everything developed.

After a lot of traveling in 2016 - leading photo and time lapse expeditions to awesome places like Patagonia, Costa Rica, Peru, Norway - my last trip in this year lead me to Prague, for some lectures about time lapse shooting and editing.

Once I was back, I finally I found the time to make the LRTimelapse website and Forum even more secure by enabling them to use encrypted https-connections now for the whole traffic. Read my blog post about this.

Of course there have been some LRTimelapse updates too in 2016!

The latest version of LRTimelapse is 4.7.4. Since I don't write newsletters too frequently, the last one announced in a newsletter was 4.7. Since then, I've made a lot of smaller changes, but some with more impact too. I recommend to upgrade to the latest version in any case, if you haven't yet. But I assume, that you've received the new version notification in the software itself and might have already updated. 4.7.4 is quite stable, at least I didn't get any other reports yet. As always, if you encounter any problems, just let me know in the forum.

Another good news: today I talked with Zoltan, the author of qDslrDashboard - the solution that many of us use for holy grail time lapse shooting. In the last months, it was a bit quiet on his side, because of some personal issues. But the good news is, he told me just recently that he is working on a new version of qDDB and that we can expect it by the beginning of 2017 with some fixes and new cameras supported. He seems to finally have found a way to implement support for the Canon 5D Mk4 too.

And finally: since I often get asked about ways to improve your editing skills in Lightroom, I'd like to make you aware of a great way to train your Lightroom skills over the holidays. One of the best teachers for Lightroom in my opinion is Serge Ramelli. He really does a great job in explaining everything in a way that is really easy to understand and implement.
Now he just recently released a new course, called Lightroom CC Complete Training and I thought, why not asking him to offer a special deal for my LRTimelapse users. Let me say that I'm happy, that he agreed to my query!

To get that deal, just use the Promo-Code LRTimelapse when buying the new Lightroom CC Complete Training from his shop and you will get a 60% discount. Use this link to get the special conditions and don't forget to enter the promo code when checking out from his shop.

Or course, this training will be useful too, if you use an older version of Lightroom, since the changes between Lightroom versions are not too significant.

Now I'd like to wish you peaceful holidays and a great 2017 with a lot of creativity, nice weather, beautiful subjects and no tourists running in front of your cameras while shooting time lapse... :-)

All the best,
Gunther and Team.
